Willowbrook’s flag football team raised its 2026 season record to 11-0 after routing Addison Trail 47-6 in Villa Park on Sept. 17. The Warriors led the visiting Blazers 19-0 after one quarter and 41-0 at halftime. Senior Liz Pettinger scored all three of Willowbrook’s first-quarter touchdowns. She scored the first touchdown of the game on a 31-yard reception from senior quarterback Kaitlyn Santos. Pettinger then delivered a defensive score by intercepting an Addison Trail pass and racing 65 yards for a touchdown. She scored her third touchdown of the quarter on a 30-yard reception from Santos.
Senior Janell Adams ran 32 yards for a touchdown during the second quarter. Senior quarterback Madeline Carine threw a 34-yard touchdown pass to senior Lillian Macias later in the second quarter. Adams threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to senior McKenzie Edison near the end of the second quarter.
Adams scored on the first play of the second half when she caught a short pass from Santos and motored down the sideline for an 86-yard touchdown reception.
The Warriors improved to 12-0 following their 44-0 victory at Oak Park/River Forest on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Willowbrook is scheduled to play four games this week, including this Friday’s (Sept. 25) homecoming contest against Morton. The game will begin at 5 p.m. in Villa Park.
