The Lombard Historical Society, in partnership with Brew Avenue Events held its annual Food Truck Social fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 5, where food, entertainment, children’s activities (including a meet and greet with “Bluey”) and a raffle rounded out the day. In one photo, Tautologic provided entertainment for the crowd early in the afternoon. Retro Glow Cycles displayed some original 1976 Bicentennial bicycles as part of the celebration. Pictured (left to right) are owner Amy Minster, historical society Executive Director Alison Costanzo and owner Brian Kalbfleisch. The historical society’s current exhibit is “Power of Place: Celebrating America 250,” which runs through Feb. 27, 2027. One part of the exhibit features the work of the late Steve Spoden, longtime Lombardian photographer, who chronicled many of the people, places and events that make up Lombard’s history.
