Brittany Susan Stankovski, née Schwartz, of Westmont, passed away on Sept. 2, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.
Brittany was a devoted wife of five years to Ricky Stankovski, dear daughter of Rick and Patty Schwartz and loving sister to the late Nicholas Schwartz.
Brittany attended St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran School in Lombard during her early elementary school years. She was a 2010 graduate of Glenbard East High School. Brittany went on to earn a degree from the College of DuPage. Brittany had a successful career in the medical field as surgical technician at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital.
Brittany was an avid reader and loved being outdoors. She enjoyed boating, swimming, UTVing, and going for long walks with her husband and her dog, Lyric, who was a loyal companion. Brittany spent many memorable vacations in Wisconsin and Florida doing just those things with her family.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. that day at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, IL.
